FOODTOPIA PROJECT 2020
Our experience in the kitchen-lunchroom Foodtopia 1800WATT Murcia along the last months demonstrates that this is a technically and economically feasible project, and that your product is in great demand and acceptance by customers. We have achieved our goal: providing a balanced meal, gastronomically correct, and with low footprint at the price of 1 Euro.
We want to start the expansion of the model, opening new points of Foodtopia food preparation (neighborhood factories) and establishing a logistic hub of raw materials, to ensure the supply of locally produced ingredients and facilitate work in kitchens. Our technology adapts to the needs of each district/city, adjusting its capacity and recipes to local demands, taking into account the core values of a new, more just and egalitarian society.

ECOLOGICAL FOOTPRINT
How can we live in societies that consume the equivalent of the resources of several planets like Earth?
It is not acceptable that the food has such a large ecological footprint. We are consuming the resources our grandchildren will need to feed and survive. What we want to leave for our children?
For us the problem is clear: We are facing a systemic crisis, where the main protagonist is:
“Inefficiency of the food system.” A food system where its cost plus its side effects is higher than the budget of the regions, that is the main responsible for climate degradation and the greatest exponent of social exclusion.
HOW DID WE GET HERE?
In 1859 oil was discovered and since then world population has increased from 1800 million to 7400 million today. From the 50s something happened different from the last 650,000 years, the great acceleration. This exponential growth has produced a daily oil consumption of 7.5 kg per person, something completely unsustainable in the time of Peak Oil.
